Quite like that, theres omething about GS Thous that I've liked since I was a kid.
I know modern stuff will out engine and out handle em but theres just something about em.

I remember Pip Higham racing one at Esholt sprint in about 1980. Smashed the course record and they had to open the gate to farmers field at end of braking area

I think they've just concentrated on making it work better? Better suspension, better brakes and kept as much as possible original. Pretty much the definition of a restomod.

Looks too original. I prefer it leaning more to the modified than just the resto. If it had USD forks, LED headlight, indicators dash etc it'd grab my attention a lot more.

I like it, if the forks are long enough it will be nice to ride, forks on late 70s superbikes are about 2" longer than modern forks, they handle like shopping trolleys if you don't do something about this.

Fair enuff. That is moving more towards custom though. I like the idea that you look at/ride a bike and then just focus on a few key things to make it better than when it rolled off the production line, sometimes using things that might not have been available at the time. Modern brakes, suspension and tyres/wheels. More a case of 'If they were going to turn out a few thousand of these....' rather than making a one-off or a fully modern version. There's scope for all shades of modding though.

A picture to demonstrate what I was saying about forks, my bike on the left has 1990 EXUP forks, bike on right is standard, mine didn't steer nicely like this.

IIRC the GSXR1100s had longer forks than most of the rest of that age and was the better setup than the 750 forks.
Or thats what my mate has on his GS Thou and manages well enough with it.
