North terminal Gatwick, on the way home. Popped over with M to take her Mum out to Turkey for her 80th birthday.
To say she was surprised to see us last Thursday is a bit of an understatement. She's in for another shock in 10 days time when M's brother, niece and their partners turn up at M's.

Re: A right now thread
Woke up at 4am. Tried really hard to go back to sleep for 2 hours. Gave up and am now sat at the little trolley table reading on here having tidied, made the made, sorted stuff, washed up and refilled glasses, showered and dressed.
Next in line, look for patterns/designs for basket weaving - the OT said I can start a project today, so need to find something I want to make!!
Breakfast will be here in around an hour (and a bit), OT is at 9am. Then seeing the doctor sometime today to ask the questions I didn't think of last week!!
Ok, 6 hours sleep isn't that bad, but I'd have preferred to sleep till about 7am!!

In Marmaris with M and her Mum at the fountain show. It's been a feature for a few years now but this is the first time I've been.

On my 2nd bottle of fizzy wine.
Non-fizzy wine is a lot cheaper, but the wife has expensive tastes.

Just in from trying to make Tongue and groove with a router with no guides. Having to stand with planks over a kerb and run along them. Practising just now as i have 36 sheets of sarking to do. What could go wrong

I bloody love Portmeirion. You could be forgiven for thinking you're on the Italian Riviera, especially on a day like today. The whole site feels like you've taken a mild hallucinogenic.

The missus tested +ve for Covid so she's isolating on top floor.
I'm just hoping I've dodged it.

On the train. Rather drunk and after a kebab, Mrs M less than impressed, I maybe absent for a day or two
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Watching Bladerunner 2049.....again.
Have to say, it gets better each time.
Pleased they made a decent job of it, could have been a dog's breakfast.

Re: A right now thread
Feet really know how to bleed! When I took my croc off blood was dribbling out the holes, then I stood there, like Daniel Caruso, waiting for the wife to bring out the tissue, dripping what seemed like a significant amount of blood over the lawn.
