With the new all singing all dancing cards you might be limited by the power supply, so you may need to know what wattage it s capable of pumping out.
Ain't no use suggesting a whizz bang 3090Ti Super flash card if you only got 450W for the whole system.
Size might be an issue too, a lot of newer cards can come in double or triple thickness

Re: Recommend me a graphics card/GPU thing
Its a hideous great box so size wise it should be okay. I'd expect it to have a decent PS as it was specced up to suit my needs, but they messed up on the GPU.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:30 am With the new all singing all dancing cards you might be limited by the power supply, so you may need to know what wattage it s capable of pumping out.

Looks like this is going in, but they are just checking spec on my PC first. Dunno why I couldn't just have kept my iMac as I never had any of these problems with that!

Re: Recommend me a graphics card/GPU thing
I'd go for one that would have been a cost option direct from Dell rather than any old card.

Apparently, they are, as we get good educational discounts. Or I might just get my Mac back! I included the youtube link below in my reply!

I used to work for a Dell Gold Partner who sold mainly to the education sector. The discounts are ok.
Now Microsoft, they practically give stuff away to Education, License this evelenty two core server... sure £12.50.
