Re: What have you done today thread?
Yesterday -
I walked about 2.5km and did 1.5km on the cross trainer (don't know how that 'matches' for 'real' steps!! )
AND, AND, AND - I used 1kg weights for a selection of shoulder/arm exercises
Now, if I can get a release date and a job to coincide, I'll be a very happy Noggin!

A rare day off, walked dogs and have mowed the lawn and done some gardening. Pub trip for tea. Was going to go out on the MTB but my knees and ankles are aching after yesterdays walk with the pain vest.

I booked an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. I couldn't get in at Spire Hartswood where I had my knee replaced before, which was annoying as the surgeon there did a fantastic job and I wanted him to do the other one. Anyway, I get a call from Nuffiield confirming my appointment and they say I will be seeing Mr Ali. I said no chance he was the same MR Ali that was at Spire Hartswood is it. Yes, she says, do you know him then!

Gave blood. By a happy coincidence there was a session near where I'm van battering and it's a sliver over three months since I last gave.

I've not resigned. Looking at the headlines, it seems there's not many who haven't.

Went down to watch the World Cup foil surfing thingy at our local beach. Didn't make much sense, but one of the enduro lads does it every day and he explained it all. An hour was enough . But tmrw is the races apparently, so might nip down for an hour

I love a Spanish Chinese Bazaar although I do remember regretting letting the kids browse the DVD section.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I've just (well, an hour ago) been for a walk, off site!! LOL Went to the Spar to get something they didn't have - it's only 1km each way, but that's the most I've walked in one go or without having a 'rest/pause' part way. Quite proud I did come back and get an ice pack from the nurses station for the knee. But only because my physio has said a few times that it will still be a bit swollen on the interior with exercise (it is always warmer than the other knee and gets hot to touch after a physio session, or the walk this morning!).
But hey. By next weekend I should be able to do three laps of the hospital site on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and when I get home I should be able to start with a reasonable walk each day

Cleaned the solar lights
Swept the drive
Restocked the garage fridge
Cut the hedge
Mowed the lawn
Discovered I was out of charcoal, so no BBQ tonight

Re: What have you done today thread?
Pissed about with the table saw that Mrs Mango has just bought (she's remodelling the bedroom and I want no part of it), then moved most of a pallet of bricks, brick by brick, about 2 metres away. The bricks were in the way in their old location.
