Psych!
Yes, my riding has changed, a lot. When I started I was a total twat and got into racing to stay alive. Somehow I managed to blag my way as far as the Manx, got invited to the TT but felt it was probably a step too far (plus, at the time if you did the TT you couldn't ride the Manx again). Stories, definitely, if I get round to it I'll post "Mist on the Mountain" again some time, some people seemed to enjoy that. I retired from racing in 2010, it was getting to the stage where I wasn't scared on the line (which is where it gets dangerous) and it had become routine. I was getting slow and it was ever more expensive. Had a blast. Don't regret it, got the T shirts and chicks dig scars don't they?
Spent some time riding off road, green lanes and a touch of enduro. Wasn't very good at it but my lad was doing MX and enduro and was quite good, and it seemed like fun. Quit that around 10 years ago and back onto road bikes, less RLAC now though. Spent a little time abroad and got into long distance touring. Bit old for Round the World these days and that's not cheap either, but I have the bike and I'm planning a big one.... have been since 2020 and we know what happened there. In 2019 did a trial tour to sort out me and the bike, stayed with God (VDers will get this) down in Croatia, done the Round Britain Rally a couple of times, fingers crossed will be off to Magadan next year. Still enjoy a blast on the occasional clear road, just don't feel the urge to do it all the time.
Peace out
