Anyway, looks like a nice job, not for me though, I've ridden a lowrider with a fat front, bit of rake and wide hard and it was horrid.

What's going on with the dinky brake discs?

I would need convincing about those brakes ,& that seat looks a bit minimalist on a bike that seems to be all about size & presence.

The salesman up at Motorrad Dalkeith has a custom R18 in the showroom. At least I think it’s one of those and it looks much better than that. (My opinion only)

I must take a pic next time I’m up there.

Without reading the blurb, where is probably says this, I think they're the multi-disc ones? ISTR they were gonna be the next great thing, in about 2002?

The idea makes sense, Aircraft use them all the time and of course most bikes have a multi-plate clutch, but it seems the advantages just aren't worth it.

I dunno how I feel about the exhausts, which I've just spotted.

So they're welded together from loads of bits, minus points. But they do seem to have put in some effort to try and grind the welds back and polish them out, so they get a few plus points for that.
