Phil Bennett, cemented in history as the beginner of the greatest ever try
Some scary high tackles, would never be allowed in todays game.
A bit of bouncing in the lineout too!
Things were 'different' back then.
I was at the Brewery field when JPR had his face split open by the kiwis, dirty, dirty feckers
JPR was FAR from a saint, he was a real dirty sod as well.
And a horrible twat of a bloke as well (my job has bought me into contact with him on a few occasions, he was seen riding a bicycle around the area for a long while after one of those occasions )

Just seen on an FB thread that Steve Harris, formerly of Harris Performance Products, lost his battle with Parkinsons and passed away on Wed 12th June. There must be a large number of motorscyclists in the 70s/80s/90s and beyond that had cause to thank the Harris brothers for making frames that alllowed them to use the horsepower of their ill-handling Suzukis and Kawasakis in safety.
My experience of Steve Harris was that he was a grumpy sod who didn't want to take your money, Lester, on the other hand, was more than happy to relieve me of my money.
What did Willy Shakespeare say? 'Some are born great, some achieve greatness and others have greatness thrust upon them'. I suppose her greatness, or celebrity to stay in keeping with this thread, was thrust upon her in the most unfortunate of circumstances.
Fair play to her turning a negative into a positive, if not for her, but for others.
