Bonkers
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Internet comes good
Hi guys,
Many thanks for the absolutely unbelievable support so far.

Matthew is totally humbled by all the messages of support and for the donations from so many of you. He's getting prepared to race in Val di Fassa this weekend and although he is understandably fairly fatigued, he's feeling strong.

I can now confirm that Matthew has race entries for the EWS rounds in North America. We are arranging flights (paid for by Deviate Cycles) and we've arranged accommodation near Whistler with friends. Additionally, if everything goes to plan Matthew will be riding our brand new Deviate Claymore enduro bike in time for the North American rounds.

The support you've all so kindly lent is going to change the entire situation for Matthew. He is still planning to ride between Burke and Sugarloaf (riding from Whistler to Burke in a week is a bit far, even for Matthew) and he's now in a position to enjoy some decent meals and a comfy bed every so often!

Again, many thanks.
Ben and Matthew

Read the harribo and rubbish diet bit and though no way Beancounter could ride 74 hours. 🤪👍
Not to mention he has given me his Whyte road bike on a long term loan which is frikkin awesome and quite quick even with a chubby lad on board.

I would also like to recomend said Beancounter as being a top bloke a friend and someone who is overly generous in a good way. Who lends an expensive road bike forever to a fat old geezer who can't ride for toffee. All hail the Beancounter. 🤗

Blimey, bonkers indeed!
I'm surprised none of the road teams have asked him to come along for a try out?

Dunno mate, he's been sort of picked up by a MTB team, but in what seems to be a fairly laid back and unofficial capacity.... It'll sure be interesting to see how it develops for him though, he's clearly a monster, both in terms of riding and mental capacity... I mean his bike ain't light by a long long way and 400km days are insane... let alone, back to back ones !
