Tuono 660 Factory is Lighter, More Refined, and with More Equipment
The Factory versions of Aprilia sports bikes have always represented the spearhead of production and are dedicated to the most demanding and competent motorcyclists, who are able to appreciate the quality of the finest fittings.

Now the Factory set-up is also available for the newborn Tuono 660: the most effective and fun to use on the road, a real generator of emotions accessible to all, in compliance with the 660 project by Aprilia which features bikes with an amazing weight / power ratio, light and performing, built around the brand new Aprilia parallel twin-cylinder of the new generation.

Additional Features with the Addition of the IMU
Tuono 660 Factory also features multimap Cornering ABS in line with the IMU, the system, with extremely low weight and dimensions, capable of optimizing braking and ABS intervention when cornering, thanks to a specific algorithm that constantly monitors various parameters such as the lateral acceleration, the pressure exerted on the front brake lever, the lean, pitch and yaw angle, modulating the action of the brakes to optimally combine deceleration and stability.

Looks pretty good at the US price ($11k). Bet it's a slab more than that here.

It's bang on £10k, so only three hundred quid more than the standard Tuono. But saying that, you can pick them up new for a grand or even more off.

I semi-seriously thought about one recently so booked a test ride but the dealer took a week to reply so I didn't bother.

That's less than I was expecting. $11k is £9k give or take so just 10% difference. Better than things used to be.

Freaky, I was just looking at these on the Aprilia website yesterday.

Do the 660's have some known issues? I seem to remember some comments on here about it. I think they look fantastic and the reviews say they are a great bike (the standard 660 mind).

Yeah one of our lads who doesn't post much (has the Petronas bikes) has one, had a few minor electrical gremlins on his and a chain made of rust, but apart from that he absolutely loves his.

I have to wonder about the need for all those rider aids for what, less than 100bhp?

Unless it's aimed at the new rider market.

Anyway, buying an Aprilia would make me nervous on the reliability front. They look lovely, though.

Ha!

I suppose rider aids are all part of the package now, more toys and every bike has to have them as a selling point. More stuff to go wrong.
