We've got one. She's just had a bit of a do. Perhaps she should sack the government and take over for a little while.
True, Her blonde hair and mellow vibe must be appealing to the other tories, i mean, you know, Andrew etc!
Though i really don't think it should be in a position of power, especially if he doesn't even know she has a very hard cabinet to keep quiet and that's not including his baggy trouser snakes!

Has there been a PM with less integrity in living memory? His timeline shows a fairly earnest and grubby attempt to show that he consistently gives not a single shit.
I'll offer you Tony Blair, whose lies have ultimately cost anything between 500,000 and 1,000,000 lives in his war in Iraq. That's combined direct and indirect civilian and military deaths.
Do you think if Blair had said ‘Err, hang on a sec’, that Bush wouldn’t have gone in?
Iraq excepted, I think Blair was probably one of our best post war PMs. Certainly the most sucessful Labour PM.

If we're fine with that then, er, fine. But it has to be a cross-political-party amnesty on ignorance, self-interest and law-breaking. So we can absolve Starmer from once looking at a polaroid of Savile for starters. And Abbott's numeracy and shoes. And of course it has to apply to the rest of us too.

Saint Tony and his eminence gris Mandelson have got be contenders for the lack of integrity prize.
And yes, to a large extent I think it should apply to all of us. Slower then me on the raod? Dangerous rolling roadblock. Faster? Reckless dangerous lunatic with no consideration anyone else.
Craig Brown used to do declensions, e.g: I am a patriot, you are a freedom fighter, he is a terrorist.

Whatabutisms don’t really stack up though, do they?
I think Blair should be up for war crimes. I think Pol Pot was rather nasty. All of this is moot, is the current pm that is also awful
There you go, nicely in order for for you, no whataboutisms needed.
Well Blair's Iraq was Boris's COVID and will possibly also be Boris's brexit, if he hangs on. Political ballsups including fibbing, death and hardship that is. Most PMs get there in the end if they last long enough.
The point is that people who should've wiser from Blair et al's shenanigans, seem to tolerate that in Boris. Istr Blair claimed ignorance over WMDs. Maybe he set the benchmark too high?
And vice versa I'd say. Tribalism will out. Apologies if I'm peevish about this, there's an extra layer of hypocrisy to listen too up here from the Nats'.
Then there's the has beens who were reviled in their time, Bercow, Cummings for example, being touted as wise and sagacious when they criticise the incumbent. Mine enemy's enemy is my friend.

I think a lot of social media fever is responsible for that sort of thing. Cummings was a self-interested worm when he was at BJs side and he didn't become less of a worm, any more believable or any less self-interested, after he later gave us his view of the inside story.

I'm not too sure I would pick those two examples. Bercow is a little self interested shit, who would try and manipulate democracy to his own ends. And he is a "bully". Cummings is a little self interested shit, who would try and manipulate democracy to his own ends. And he is a "bully". But he cleverly drip fed Boris's excesses to the press.
I am sure there are many politicians who have been reviled in their day - but will, with the passage of time, be seen to be foresighted.
But it won't be either of those two.

I never did understand how he came to be voted in!
He was a Conservative candidate for London Mayor that got elected...twice, when the idea of even winning once seemed unlikely.
He then won an 80 seat majority for the party in Parliament.
Many, maybe most, of those in the party who voted against him in the confidence vote seemed to do so because, for a Tory PM, he has been a high tax, high spend PM. From a traditional Conservative p.o.v. they have a point.

It certainly wasn't because of the tsunami of sleaze that has washed over everything he touches, was it? Tory MPs hold theit nose and look the other way, but only just as long as they are part of the gravy train.
Just shows how useless Labour are, they're less popular than the Conservative party led by Boris Johnson, Labour need to get off their arses and start coming out with some popular policies, rather than they're current strategy of "Boris is a twat, don't vote for him", everyone knows Boris is a twat.

Err, last I heard Labour were polling better than the conservatives by a reasonable margin.

Are they winning elections, I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
Luckily, as both the Tories and Labour struggle with their popularity and own sleaze scandals, the Lib Dems stand ready to fill that centre ground and bring a refreshing breath of fresh air to the politics of GB.

Step forward the LIB Dems!!!
In your own time....
Oh. Wait. No...apparently they're not.
It's almost getting to the point now where the raving looney party are not the ones that are the loonies at elections!

Years ago, Lord Sutch complained that the mainstream parties were nicking their best policies.
