Test drove a few - they were lovely. They were focused.
Driving down to Chichester to buy an immaculate Caymen, It took me 2.5 hours from Shoreham, because of traffic - in which time I had convinced myself that having a sports car ins the SE is absolutely pointless.

I have a soccer-mum's SUV - however it does have 315 bhp ( more that the cayman) and is only 0.1 sec slower 0-60). But I can get the dog in the back, get out of it easily to do the shopping, and it is comfortable on long journeys.

It is a bit of what used to be called a "Q" car.
I was following an enormous (I think) RS-Q8 the other day, and, tbh, I couldn't think of a bigger waste of resources or cash.

Surely it's football-mum, or soccer-mom.

I like a good restomod and I like classics.
For restomods go to
https://www.youtube.com/user/retropowercars

It takes them over a year to do a full build, but they do it properly.

For "normal" classics and sports cars old and new, Harry's Garage is my favourite channel along with Tyrrels classic workshop.

"Soccer mum's SUV" ??

I didn't know Shoreham was in the USA..
I used that term as it was quoted at me the other week ...

They are the kings of the TLGP - about 600bhp and 600 ft/lb as standard, through a proper quattro 4wd system (and £20 of fuel spent every time lol).

Horrid things no doubt driven exclusively by horrid people.

Me too! I wouldn't turn down a Q8 either (if it was petrol, not diesel - environment and all that  )

(They had a nice black Q7 TFSI in the dealers on Sunday. Might just blag a test drive. :D ).

My sister sold her A45 and bought a SQ7 when she got knocked up.

Which is fucking stupid, cos an A Class has four doors and isofix and it was only one child.
