Fuck me, talk about long-winded and bureaucratic, I have just has to print out 88 pages of stuff, that will need signing by 4 different people, and they MUST sign in the right order or all bets are off. This has cost me the total sum of 4 x £82, but if we can supply all sorts of evidence the missus might escape by only having to pay £41. Once they have been signed I have to wait at least 20 weeks for them to be registered. Bloody Civil Service!
20 weeks? Are you in a last minute hurry? :D

But with 88 pages you can have your very own bonfire of red tape.

Not really, but all they actually do is check the signatures have been dated in the right order, and enter it on a register. Allegedly it takes them 20 weeks to do this with the new streamlined digital process.

The Court of Protection/Office of the Public Guardian are the last bastion of total Civil Service fuckwittery dressed up in legal robes. I have had dealings with them before!

And no, I can't even have a bonfire, I have to submit all 88 pages. If I want my own copy that is extra.

It's easier now than a few years ago.

You used to have to fill all the details every place, now it auto completes.

And you used to have to get a Dr or similar to certify that person understood.

Quad lock do a really good phone mount, and I used to have one for my old phone. I need a new case for my current one but can't bring myself to but one because Charlie Boarman is doing an advert for them and he is nearly annoying as Chris Evans. Buying one would be effectively endorsing Charlie. My god he is annoying.

The alternative is significantly more expensive and time consuming…

My last experience of a court appointed deputy for property & finance where the individual lost capacity, it was several grand and many months to start with coupled with ongoing costs for the professional deputy.

Yes, I know. I have had dealings with the Court of Protection on another issue. Bloody incompetent arseholes who cost a fortune and take forever, hence setting up LPAs before we need them.

It's the scooterist that are simmering my urine currently. Yesterday I was in the Blackwall tunnel, filtering away, as one shouldn't over the solid white lines, so I'm not angel, when I arrive behind two vans, no room to filter through. I hang back a bit, waiting for the gap that will materialise soon enough, when scooter-boi comes from behind me on the inside, coz he just can't wait a few seconds, then cuts in front, causing me to brake hard, then when the slimmest of gaps does appear, he goes through knocking one van mirror in the process.

Yeah, cheers mate. Makes us all look like cnuts.

I was at a lights controlled crossroads today with three lanes, left, straight on and right. I was in the middle lane to go straight over and a motorbike filters past on my left after the lights go green and turns sharp right in front of me, twat was lucky I didn't plough into him.
