Quite like a lot of that. Some of it's a bit clumsy - like the front mudguard mounts. The one thing I really, really dislike is slapping the Union flag on it. That's like the desperation of the 'I'm backing Britain' stickers or the 'britpop' codswallop - and doesn't make it worth 44k. They might like it in the USA or Japan?

For £44k I could buy two Tuono V4 1100 Factorys and have a wedge of cash left over for tyres and bling. And I can't believe for a second that the Norton is as capable as the Tuono or the RSV4. You really would have to be a one-eyed flag shagger to go for the Norton.

To my eyes all that flag stuff reminds me of Donald Trump and the more lies he was telling the more flags were behind him.
I love my country, but I've never been a flag person.
I guess it doesn't look bad otherwise though.
Thing is that nowadays the main manufacturers have been making great bikes for a while so getting something from a small company seems to be a downgrade. Less tuning parts, less spares availability.

Thats assuming they even deliver the bike.

Oh and I don't have any misty eyed nostalgia for the name Norton, it's not a long standing manufacturer, its one thats been dead for yonks then someone bought the name in the hope that enough elderly gits give a shit about it.
I'm either not that old or maybe just old enough to remember the shitheap Nortons. Either way, it doesn't conjure up warm fuzzy feelings for me.

I heard that was originally the plan,then the new owners realised how much that 'honour' would cost and got cold feet.

Setting the daft price aside,the bike doesn't do anything for me,it's not fugly and it's not beautiful,plus some of the places I regularly ride I wouldn't want to be parking for long with the union flag all over the paintwork. The 44k might be worth considerably less when I returned.

I mean, who am I to critisize the design of a modern motorbike? Hate the flag, the exhaust hanger looks like a homemade job, and the head lights look like a pair of torches behind a fairing. But the frame and swingarm look great.
