Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
No pics, but I managed a 3 hour ride today. Drying and damp roads, but I had to get out,it's been a week since the last run. June has been crap weather so far,it's not even that warm early morning,I still have the thermal lining in my jacket ffs.
It's probably because I use the bike early in the day,but I forget what it's like to be too warm!

Visiting parents mate, dad cant drive anymore so i need transport to get them around. Trust me i would rather be on the bike but that would be a tad selfish and taking the car allows them to get about a bit to places that are normally 3 different buses etc
So on the subject of the thread .....here is when i last rode the bike this afternoon with todays 2 students. Both never ridden bikes before and both actually in the category of "took to it like a duck to water" which doesnt happen very often

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Midweek day off & I took the SV650 for it's MOT,happy to say the bike passed
Whilst the paperwork was getting printed I had a close look at the two WW II bikes on the ramps.Check out the evolution from these to whatever your riding now

That's a sidevalve BSA,note the blackout headlight, surprised the Hipster crowd haven't come up with a modern version of the headlight.

Hand change Francis Barnet, with a flywheel bigger than the cylinder
Local bike night tonight & the sun's shining, lets see what turns up there

Last night I rode my Street Triple to the local bike night, the sun was shining & it was a good turn out.
Here's a few of the old bikes that are not so common these days
Schwantz rep RGV 250

Another 'GP replica, Rothmans NSR400, I can't remember when I last saw one of these

GSXR750

And something I don't think I've seen this century.Turns out the owner has two of them plus another 'donor bike',he reckons he can get a lot of spares from the States as Bridgestone sold a lot of them over there, also Suzuki GP100 conrods fit when you take 2mm of the crank webs.

This is just a very small selection of the bikes that turn up at the bike meet,it'll be mid July before I can get to the next one, hopefully the weather will be just as glorious

Leisurely commute to work today with a sarnie stop at Ditchling Beacon.

The photographer needs to be careful of that sloping horizon. Perhaps that's what made the bike fall over?

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I've been out on the bike three days in a row, must be a total of nine or ten hours riding. Rain coming in,so that's it for a while. Must be around 80 quid in fuel, for the pleasure.
I don't normally stop where there's a gathering of bikes, but I spotted this old girl and had a chat with the owner. It was first registered in 1955,so the same age as me.
Looks a lot better than I do too.
