Is that 220 BHP on the reg plate? 8-)

And why is there a dead pussy on your seat?
22.76 BHP. Note the point.

Sheepskin cover-who needs sweaty bollocks from a plastic seat?

That's odd, every time I sit on a sheep, my bollocks get more sweaty...

Moved to Spain. Getting my UK bikes registered in Spain was problematical, especially the RC8 and RC8R, as both had been modified, and converting back to standard (or as near as the ITV inspector would allow), and would be prohibitively expensive. So sold them before I moved.

The Deauville was a stop gap bike for a weekend trip, but I kept it on, as for 12 hour riding days, I've never had anything better, comfort wise.

But it is dog slow and ponderous when loaded up...

Rode from Genoa, Italy, to Gap in France today, via the Italian/French Alps. Great roads, weather and views yet again. Nice to see the the Supermoto is alive and well up here.

Off Carcassonne tomorrow, just need to plan a route through the National Parks.

I'll have to edit my photos, as too large to put up. There will be a few!

If you host them on one of the many pic sites,it'll save you the bother of resizing.

Been out a few times on the SMCR in the last few days, but it's never really been the right place or time for pics.

Today rode from Gap to Carcassonne in France, and again a fantastic ride over spectacular roads and country side. Again, not a drop of rain.

Heading down to Alcaniz (home of the Aragon race circuit) in Spain tomorrow, via Andorra. Should be fun!

Will get some photo hosting sites looked at later.

Just got back home from my trip after 30 days, 12 countries, and 7,902 miles. Only six minutes of riding was done in the rain.

Encountered some great roads, met up with friends I had not seen since 2019, stayed in some great towns, ate great (and not so great) food, and drank lots of local beers.

Also saw a great logo on an Italian woman riders Tshirt.

"The World is a book. Those who do not travel read only one page". Very true.

No more trips away now, until "Flash's" in September. Just as well, as the garden has suffered an explosion of weeds! That's going to keep me busy for a while.

Trip to West Britain last week.

I'm 100% more likely to plan a trip when the current conditions are fine. I then watch the weather like a hawk in the lead up to the trip and realise that it may be a bit damp. Last week was no exception and after a couple of weeks of sunny, if not a bit chilly weather I set off in full waterproofs. My bike had been cleaned when it had had it's pre-touring season service and I had deliberately not ridden it so it'd look all nice and shinny. That was a waste of time as within the first half an hour on the A283 there had been some kind of agricultural show over the Jubilee weekend and my bike look like it had been ridden through a farm - sorry Weeksy.

I'd crochet a Jubilee brake reservoir cover because I can and I'm single and the evenings are long and lonely

Image

I took a simple route up there, with no motorway accept a couple of miles on the M48 to go over the Severn. This meant going through The Sodburys, which I won't bother doing again and will do a junction or two of the M4 instead.
Image

Tuesday was the best weather so I set off to find a good north route for my repertoire and decided to check out the award winning motorcycle cafe The Old Stores, Pontblyddyn, near Mold. The last half an hour before the cafe is 50mph average speed cameras so I may reverse the route so it's more fun to ride to the café but then have a nice saunter back with a full belly and do a bit of sight seeing instead.

I stopped in Mach for breakfast and saw some RAF Hawks doing the loop.

I had an easy day on Wednesday and walked into Llanrhystud's only café for a fry-up and then rode to Abergavenny for a coffee at the end of South Marine Terrace. The sea was rough and my bike got covered in salt so I took for a jet wash before going back to base to chill at the 9th hole with a G&T.

Thursday I did a mid-wales loop. It was a damp, grey day.

Made up for it with a rather nice lunch (trout) at The Hafod Hotel, Devils Bridge.

Friday going home I reversed the route I'd taken up, which I don't normally do (I was just being lazy) and made a small error. I must have had a waypoint going north on the A34 so rode the same ten miles twice - doh. It was the only straight bit of the route
I stopped at the West End Cafe, Llandovery, an hour into the journey for, erm, another fry up. I've still another couple of pounds to lose before I can get my leathers back on for the rest of the summers adventures.

Thanks. I’ve treated myself to a Google Pixel Pro 6 for the camera.

Give it a week or 2 ;)

I ride most days but rarely take pics as its mostly for, what would be classed as mundane, instructing , functional riding. I was meant to be riding to Scotland Tuesday but will now be taking a car instead for a 1000 mile 3 day round trip.

@Trinity765 cracking pics, glad you enjoyed the trip and hoepfully see you in a few months back in Wales
