Amazon links?
Just for reference - it seems that there's something adverse happening in the forum softwares automatic link parsing functionality, when it's an amazon link.
test here: viewtopic.php?t=5663
I would assume that it's Amazon blocking the request, and that's understandable (if annoying), but it's making posting links to any products (eg for recommending them.... or not), troublesome.
Not sure if there's anything that needs doing - but figured you should know about it.

Some browsers / browser add-ons will do funny things to them

I discovered it was Ad-Blocker hiding the 'ad' from my sensitive eyes.Ditchfinder wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 5:24 pm Some browsers / browser add-ons will do funny things to them

Re: Amazon links?
I reckon I miss about half the photos on here for whatever reasons, they just don't display. Possibly my adblocker, possibly my VPN's IP address, or my blocking all third party cookies. Or something else.

Re: Amazon links?
Anything that is a Facebook image disappears after about a day or two. But that's because Facebook itself ties a dated token to each image link.

Re: Amazon links?
If anyone thinks adverts would be ok I blithely clicked -'accept recommended cookies' on another site (I've been using it for some years but they must have made changes so I accepted without thinking). It promptly became unusable on a phone - pop-up ads over the content, diverts to ads, ads above the content, ads below the content. It's a v boring site anyway and the ads were all for stuff like iffy loans etc etc.
I ignore anything that links to any Reach (Retch) publications (newpapers) too.
This place is (so pay your subs you tightwads!).
