Came back and sold a bike, plus some parts I had cluttering up the garage.
Had pie & mash for dinner, plus ice-cream for pudding, then fell asleep on the sofa at 1830 and went straight to bed when I woke up an hour later.
Which bike?

I take back my comment a few days ago about you and retirement, it sounds like you're ready- you've got it nailed! 8-)

New glasses with reactions lenses as I have a lot of driving this year in the summer and may as well protect my vision. Then home for coffee/lunch and then to head out to the Erith Church to help with a Bible Study. May be able to get a pastoral visit done on the way there, so saving a trip. Petrol is £1.769 in local station now. I think Asda is still closer to £1.649, so may head there instead!
Bear in mind reactions lenses are triggered by UV light, which is generally blocked by car windscreens. They may be less effective when driving. If you can get a two for one deal it may be best to go for separate sunglasses.
Transitions do a version that sorts that out.

Been a nice chilled day today :D Done a couple of simple exercises in my room, and had a hot choc with the other English after lunch.

Highlight so far is that one of the nurses also does reflexology. She mentioned it yesterday as I was so very wiped out/knackered after last week and obviously looked like it! She charges when she does the reflexology out of the hospital, but here, it's free to patients!!! Woohooo :bblonde:

Still feeling very chilled 4 hours later!! :D :D

Back last year in the midst of the monster refurb, I bizarrely started remodeling our downstairs loo.
And after only 10 months, we have a toilet door again!

Spent the day yesterday at Woodhall Manor in Suffolk as my missus was the chief bridesmaid at her friends wedding. Superb weather, fantastic setting, lots of laughs and booze and my wife looking beautiful as ever

It was quite warm so i lost the suit jacket as soon as the formalities were done and the bar was open ;)

I'll remember that next time!! I did the course and the exam years ago, but didn't have the fingers to do it even as a hobby - everyone has huge feet when you have short fingers!!!

I do love it, but hadn't looked for anyone over here. Now I know :D :D

Well, I tried something today! I can do 100% weight on my left leg!!! :bblonde: Not for long, but it doesn't hurt - if I don't do it for long!!!

I haven't tried to do it long enough to hurt cos I don't want it to. But it's long enough that I can use one crutch to walk, in my room. Trying to use two crutches meant I did use my right arm a little every step, and it didn't do my shoulder/arm any good. So I'm hoping that I can go to one crutch (albeit on the wrong side  ) at some point this week and get out of the bastard wheelchair!! LOL

Also watched the MotoGP races, TT highlights from yesterday (not the sidecar race that was stopped) and am on the second Star Wars film - the order so far is 4 and 5 - cos I fancied some nostalgia :D :D

Next weekend I'm going to ask the dining room staff If I can sit at a table with young people rather than old farts that either don't talk or eat their words so I just can't understand to have a conversation!!! I eat in the dining room to practice my french, but this weekend I've barely had any conversation

Up at 5am. Drove to Portsmouth to collect son and his rooms contents. End of year for Uni. Back home at 10:45. Not bad for a 210mile round trip. Traffic on M25 was not too bad, but there are some seriously stupid drivers out there!!! Pootled along at 60-65mph as I wanted to get maximum mpg for the conditions, stayed in the "slow" lanes with minimal issues.

Even when I pootle in the left lane at about 60, I'm still going past people in the middle lane.
