What's so frustrating about that is that it's a statue, not a motorbike. The whole "push kilometres" (it's only ever registed 2km in it's life) is just depressing to me. Ok, I understand the not registering but the not using, that's just wrong.

There's thousands of cars and bikes in museums around the world not moving.
No harm in my book.

I agree, however if it had been used as we would have all liked it wouldnt have made 62 grand ;)

If I was prepared to spend £62k on a bike I would quite like that, but it would get ridden! If I can drop £62k on a bike I can afford the depreciation.

You've obviously never ridden one.
They're not great road bikes, and need a shed load of cash spending to make them a good race bike.
I took a race kitted bike out for a road test, no power below 7k and a 70mph 1st gear are not good bedfellows.
Best taken to local bike meet, and bask in the 'oooohs' and 'aahhhhs'

Mores the pity.
I much prefer the way Wheels Through Time (RIP Dale) handle it, yes they're a museum but there are no ropes you can go up and touch the exhibits, and they get started up and ridden as their makers intended.

I'd still love one.

Not a bad prize for a 5 quid raffle ticket though eh
