Not that fussed about seeing it tbh, but when I do it'll be on the TV at home. I hate going to the pictures. Round here everyone goes in with armfuls of food and it's like sitting in an effin piggery, with blood boiling eating noises all around me!

Re: Top Gun the sequel, who's going?
I tired to work out what the last film I saw at the flicks was.
Mad Max: Road Fury.
I then googled the release date...
2015.
So it's only been 7 years then.
The film I saw before that was Oblivion... 2013!!!

I've never sat down to watch it intentionally, it's just been on in the room so I don't know if I've seen the whole film.
When it was on at the cinema it was a chick flick as girls kept talking about it, that put me off for years.

That's just their reaction to seeing Manchester for the first time.

If you didn't cry when Goose died (should that be in spoiler tags?) then you have a heart of stone!

Somebody had to die if only to make people cry instead of the dire dialogue.
"You can be my Wing Man anytime!"
"No, you can be mine!"
But I've always wondered about Goose. Was there something they weren't telling us? I think they should have made a prequel so we could have learnt Goose's journey to Top Gun. They could have explained why his nickname wasn't 'Gander'.

By that point I was hoping the pair of them would die in a fiery death like the original Goose did.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 8:20 am If you didn't cry when Goose died (should that be in spoiler tags?) then you have a heart of stone!

In the Director's Cut you see the extra footage of Goose bumming Maverick in the showers after the foreplay of the beach volleyball....

I like the bit when Maverick goes in for the reach-around and whispers gently into Goose's ear, 'Talk to me, Goose...'
It's very touching.

Been a while since I've bene to the flicks, just looked at Top Gun showings at my local Cineworld.
The reviews say see it in IMAX, so for an IMAX 2D showing on Sunday they want £16.99!!!
£34 for the two of us and that's before she buys the worlds most expensive nachos.
