Those roads are slippery as fook when wet. Years of traffic shit floating to the surface. Rather them than me.

Re: NW200
A few not happy about supertwins not running. Think the organisers were happy with two cracking races and no nasties.

Re: NW200
No wonder Dunlop didn't want anyone else out on their tyres in the last superbike race.
Blundering about trying not to make too much of a hash of things.

Re: NW200
Not sure if it’s bullshit or not but apparently Hicky was driving the M3 under the influence and will be back for a court appearance. Not entirely sure how accurate that is, will have to wait and see.
That would mean FHO’s statement was just a cover story.

Re: NW200
Hope Dunlop get the tyre issue sorted with the TT just around the corner, but has anyone ever seen tyres delaminating as badly as that?
That’s surely going to be playing mind games with some riders on a course as unforgiving as the IOM.

I wouldn't be running them there. I wouldn't care what the contract says, either proper tyres or I go home. Simplesinglesman wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 10:14 am Hope Dunlop get the tyre issue sorted with the TT just around the corner, but has anyone ever seen tyres delaminating as badly as that?

Re: NW200
Who's to say? That's what Dunlop obviously will say. But would you want to find out at 180mph at the TT?

Re: NW200
I would think almost certainly, might still take some time for certain riders to fully regain confidence in the new batch!
Not that I would presume for a second to understand the mindset and thought process of these motorcycle riding super heroes.

Re: NW200
Well my thinking is these tyres are tested extensively to deal with all types of scenarios and probably coped as they should. But a bad batch will fail no matter what, so chances are it’s simply a bad batch.
I can understand having to regain confidence in them again but there’s no way Dunlop make shit tyres.

Re: NW200
They sure did for this weekend. I like a Dunlop, but I'm fairly confident their road rubber will work. I wouldn't want to be the one testing those slicks!wull wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 1:16 pmWell my thinking is these tyres are tested extensively to deal with all types of scenarios and probably coped as they should. Re: NW200
From what I read, it was a number of different tyres - two classes and fronts and rears. Does that still class as 'a batch'?wull wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 1:16 pmWell my thinking is these tyres are tested extensively to deal with all types of scenarios and probably coped as they should.
