If Liv dies you can wait at pub, James can carry on with us :) :)
He can wait with me, crust can get the car. Nice.

It seems our illustrious pensioner @crust had a minor spill in front of a bunch of ladies... not saying he was looking at them instead of the trails, but hey, make of it what you will. :)

Anyway, it seemed a small crash in many ways, but he went down and has broken his collar bone.

It may not come as a shock to any that nothing i did/rode made me think any differently of e-mtbing as a concept. As before, if i lived 45 mins from the peaks i'd be all over it.... they can and do get up and over things you simply cannot ride without the extra help... But i don't live there, i live in Berks and it'd be rubbish mostly.

GWS @crust .
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

@Couchy's mountain leadership and guiding skills were awesome; 1st climb and 1st turn and he goes sailing straight on, taking half the group with him. Despite not 30 seconds earlier been reminded were taking the left turn. It's a shame when they get old and still think they've got all their marbles...

I was mightily impressed that @crust managed to make it to the top of Winn Hill climb, along the ridge and down Roman Road and all the way to the cafe in Hope before stopping and letting us know that he "might" have broken his collar bone.

Heal fast old man!

Shame @weeksy and @crust had to depart so early, you missed the best bits I'm afraid.

Good fun for the rest of us, although the extra 6 or 7 miles I did back to the cars mid ride did my legs no good and I was blowing out of my arse on the climbs. And then having to do the same at the end of the ride to get back to my van in Hope did for me. Two bouts of covid in 12 months and a 3 month lay off waiting for parts has done my weight and fitness no good at all. But nothing that a concerted effort to shift some timber and get out on the bike more won't soon sort.

I was out with a mate last night for a meal and in the middle of the restaurant rammed full of people I got the most horrendous cramp in the back of my left thigh. I genuinely thought I'd properly ripped a tendon or muscle or summat and was in absolute agony. Envisaged being carted off in an ambulance. Toughed it out and it eventually subsided but never had anything like that before. Must be because I missed out on my post ride ice bath....

And my new shiny Hope brakes are all of the awesome.

Aye, was a shame. I thought about leaving him at the café but I thought the Trek was going to explode.

With the A34 being closed and dropping crust off, I didn't get back till after 5 anyway.

Maps plans directions etc are for losers 👍

Great day out as always, blasted PB’s on the climbs up haggside, slabs and derwent. Hated the beast as I dislike rocks and downhill 🤣 Loved the rest of it, climbs are my favourite as they are very technical and physical and made for an ebike.

And GWS Crust you muppet, next time no wheelies by the ladies 😃
