The latest James Bond.

Daniel Craig is looking his age, I dunno if the over-50s as government spies able to duff up numerous (single-file) baddies and still get out of bed in the morning is very believable. Yes I get that wimmin still fancy him - but then they also seem to fancy that Paul Hollywood bloke as lady-crumpet.
All the villains are boring. Double-Oscar winning villain-of-all-villains Christoph Waltz is wasted with such a dreary part, the Freddie Mercury guy isn't much better.
Ralph Fiennes - wasted as M - must be his biannual retirement topup fund.

And yet despite that, having dutifully taken my F-I-L to see it, I'd say it was one of the better Bond films.

And as an exercise in damning with faint praise, I reckon I've nailed it.

(Fiennes in In Brugge was worth watching, but then so was Gleeson and, dare I say it, Farrell. Great film.)

Point Break (1991 version). It's OK, not sure it's a top 100. Directed by Katharine Bigelow but with input from her husband James Cameron, so a bit of a pedigree. Keane Reeves and Patrick Swayze as cool surfer/FBI/bank robbin' dudes.

Oblivion. I'm not really a sci-fi person and I'm not sure I got it? It also had more holes than the proverbial swiss cheese, but I kinda enjoyed it?

Just finished Anatomy of a Scandal on Netflix about a posh Tory MP who shags an aide and all goes to ratshit. It was written a few years ago then adapted for the screen but is almost like its uncannily mirrored on the current bunch of posh entitled twats who currently govern this country

"Gone". Really good and just shows how you can bring tension and suspense to a film without the need for outright gore, something Hollywood seems to have forgotten in most of its offerings. At one point I thought it was going to go the way of "A Beautiful Mind".

After watching a few Cinefix movie lists on Youtube I reckon they're a fairly good guide in general.

Worth a look IMO.

The Adam Project. I'm not a sci-fi time travel guy, but Ryan Reynolds normally brings a humour to things, poor effort this time though. It was sickly enough to be Disney and I may have thought it was if it wasn't for people getting deaded. I've certainly seen worse cliched, teal and orange productions though. So, if you like gravity defying spaceship jet things, light sabers and time travel, you might like it, me, not so. 5/10

Sci Fi animated anthology series, some funny, some fairly adult, horror.
Well worth a watch and if you've read much Sci Fi you'll recognise a few short stories youve read.
