Sitting on the train on the way home after a night shift
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Had my coffee, contemplating feeding the cat who is licking his lips and staring at me....

Waiting at the Eurotunnel terminal in France. Turned up two hours early so they've put me on an earlier train.

Went to Aldi early doors, 6 bottles of wine and a bottle of Gin. At 0845!! Got some looks.
Then sorted the greenery at the end of my parking area. Mostly by digging it up.
Now, in the garden with a bag of crisps and a Mars having 20 minutes.

Re: A right now thread
Booked a mini-break. I'm going to Wales for a change. The cost of accommodation has risen making it more expensive than ever for a solo traveller so I've gone for a (posh ) static caravan on a golfing holiday park by the sea. I'll be drinking nice coffee as I'll bring my own and I'll be solo dining on Chicken Ding while planning the next days route. Living the dream - I'll be sure to write it up with lots of photos.
Yesterday I booked my bike in for a service at a new place at the bottom of my road - which is handy so I hope they're ok. I'll get them to swap over my rear tyre for a half used one I have, replace the coolant (as I put old stuff in after doing my exhausts) and it will get an oil change, check over and complimentary jet wash. Good to go.

Re: A right now thread
I just heard from an old friend,he'll be going into a home as his wife can no longer cope with his care needs and she has health issues of her own. He had a stroke 5 years ago which left his left arm paralysed and his left leg weak. It was the cruellest of blows, because he was a fine bass player and that's all gone.
I seems like yesterday we were out playing in bands and having a laugh, now it's all gone to ratshit for him.

Owwww my head (and stomach). Missed out on the Kebab as the shop was full and I couldn’t be arsed queuing.

Just waved the Gremlinette off for her driving test. I'm so nervous you'd think it was me taking the test.
Fingers crossed.

Re: A right now thread
I'm chilling in my room (window closed, air con on low!! LOL) waiting for the doctor to arrive. The last two weeks, despite me requesting often that she speak slower, most of the 'conversation' is far too fast for me to understand. Last week, everytime they asked me a question, they cut me off before I finished and talk to each other over my head (fucking hate being in a wheelie chair when others only stand up around me!!). To the point last week that I got quite stressed. The physio immediately after said - what did the doctor say? I had ot reply with, I'm not sure
But the occupational therapist said she's talk to her yesterday and try and get her to actually help me understand what she says!! I can only hope (Need a fingers crossed smiley!! )
