Mtb recommendations please...

It says a lot to me that we've had 2 glorious BH days and yesterday I was out pedalling with my lad, today I'm out with mates.
That's not to say I don't like riding my motorbike, because I do. But it's not the same like

Yep same here, I managed about an hour and a half on the ktm over the 4 days...

Agree, was really nice to be off road in beautiful quiet countryside having fun, and about 19C.

I went off exploring locally, only for an hour or so, but I barely saw anyone - just nice being out and about in fields and woods. I even found an mx/4x4 track was awesome fun! Looking at the strava map, I think it got a bit confused at points...

Got me some new forks coming - nothing too special. Some Rockshox Judy Silver - it's pretty hard to find forks with a straight steerer and qr, that are also in stock! Should arrive early next week.

Should be a nice improvement I hope - the suntour fork on at the moment really is on it's way out, even with the replacement bushings there's a fair bit of movement.

Finally got the new Rockshox forks on - absolutely massive improvement over what was on there before. They're noticeably lighter, quieter and just better, so money well spent! Whilst I'm not riding anything difficult, the bike is more stable and faster in pretty much all situations.

Settled on about 90psi, and 1 back from full hare (it's only got 5 clicks from full tortoise to full hare) on the rebound for now at least.

I couldn't get the crown race off the old forks, so ended up putting a new headset in as well. The old headset wasn't knackered, but was past it's best.

Also grabbed an adapter and a 180mm disc for the front brakes.

It's just about sorted for now...

The 603 hasn't really been out much since the T130 arrived, but it's brought me to work a couple of times this week as the weather's been minging and I didn't want to get the other one too filthy

This one is still running on tubes - albeit tubes with sealant in them, which seem to work well. Got a puncture this morning that the sealant couldn't fix - to be fair it was a massive hole, god knows what I'd ridden over - but Halfords were selling off their own bike hut sealant tubes for £2 a pop (reduced from £6), so got 9 as their site wouldn't let me order any more!

I think that should do me until I need some new tyres...once these tyres are done I'll try and set the wheels up tubeless. I reckon the current ones have got too many holes in to bother trying.

Even having the t130, I still enjoy riding this one. It's a nice light-ish bike that stops and goes really well.

The 603 has had some new bits thrown at it over the past week or so.

I've fitted a MicroShift Advent-x derailleur, cassette and shifter along with a new set of cranks and a new chainring. This has taken the bike from 1x 8, to a 1x 10 speed.

I've only ridden the bike to work once since fitting but obviously it feels much better than it used to. From installation, to setting up and now riding, the Microshift kit is really nice to use. Hopefully it'll stand up ok to wet and muddy fields...according to reviews it'll be fine.

brown? They’re (or at least were when they were new), the most KTM shade of orange I could find!
