We use it as the slush fund savings account to park money in, on it's way to paying off big chunks of one of the mortgages. The on-average return is as rubbish as the prevailing interest rate but there's always a chance of decent wonga.

Nowt again this month. Cashing most of them in as an private opportunity for 6% PA return has come along so I'll be doing that instead.

I was looking at the list of bigger prize winners yesterday (NS&I publish a list of prizes down to £5k with a location and a holding amount).

Scanning it for South Yorkshire to see if we were on there. One lucky person in SY won £10k with only a £1k holding!
