hmm - that tank is out of proportion with the rest of the bike which makes it look odd.

Tiny tank height and that they've left the airbox on makes the engine look massively out of proportion.

Not my favourite of the recent R-engined bikes.

Nicely engineered but...

Agree with the tank comments.

Especially as it's an earlier cast airbox, not the later moulded version. Still, at least it has an air filter :D

I like the cantilever seat. And it's not brown

With the clip-ons, a higher tank might have looked weird and, potentially given the height at the seat end, made it uncomfortable to reach the bars.
Even bland can be a type of character

That's BMW Estoril blue, is it not? One of their iconic car colours.

I really like it, but maybe that's just the colour swaying me :D However having said that, and much as I like that shade, painting the forks like that just seems weird.

My mate Trev has an M£ Evo in that colour, I always rib him about his council spec un-colour matched door handles.

I normally like the majority of R-series conversion but that does nothing for me....

Nah looks all out of proportion. Like a really thin person with a massive pot belly.

Pluses - No brown seat, armpit mirrors or open bell mouths on the carbs.

Minuses - The tank looks a tad on the small side.

What in god's name is going on with the angle of those bars? They are adjustable for a reason - to make them comfortable!

I actually quite like it!
Too much paint though, old bikes need to look more fecked, more metal, more patina, to look right.

I wouldn't fit on it though, probably, looks tiny

What a truly ugly looking engine, no matter what gets done on the rest of the bike that engine shines through like a bloody great wart.

I dunno - there's a simplicity to aircooled motors that watercooled motors can't match. Most watercooled motors are fugly just because of all the lifesupport hanging off them.
