KTM 690 Rally
I saw this recently.
I thought it looked like a great bike. I think it's not a standard model but a 690 Enduro with a kit fitted.
Does anyone know if it'd be a practical thing for longer journeys?

To a kid looking up to me, life ain't nothing but bitches and money.

Re: KTM 690 Rally
From memory the seat is pretty wide for a dirt bike on the 690s, so could be okay.

Re: KTM 690 Rally
The riding position on that type of bike and a bit of wind protection helps a lot. I can cope with most seats if I can jiggle about a bit every now and again or stand up and stretch my legs.

Re: KTM 690 Rally
My mate has one pretty similar. It'll be a 690 Enduro with a kit. My mates one is Rally Raid'ed to the hilt with parts. The 2 tanks either side (standard is under the seat), faring, tower, etc. His is so tall I can barely get on it but the suspension is fairly soft. As off road bikes the seat isn't bad but it's not Adv bike comfy though I don't think.
He hasn't used his much but did the Wales 500 on it and plans to do others, pre covid he was going off road a fair bit on it.
He came with me to a late night at Krazy Horse on it and the knobblies are great on the road at all

Re: KTM 690 Rally
I've got one.
Rade Garage rally kit, loads of other parts to sort the minor issues the standard bike has, set of Rally Raid dual tanks brand new in the wrappers that haven't fitted due to the OH suffering long covid so travel plans have gone west for us.
Its lower and softer than the 701 we have, Michelin Trackers are brilliant off road and bloody good on for a knobbly.
Seat is actually comfy too.
Welcome to try it if you're near enough.
That one is the Aurora Rally kit by the look of it.
I didn't go down the Rally Raid fairing on ours as personally it looks dated and cheap in comparison to the rest out there now for similar or less money.
