New Bike Shortage

Post by Skub »

It would appear the new bike shortage is starting to bite hard. I was in my local Kawasaki dealers today and they have a list of about 5 bikes they can order, anything outside that, forget about it.

There are plenty of Versys available,if that's your thing!

I'm not changing this year, but I wanted to test the water.

How are things in your area?

Cars too.
We were quoted a year wait for a new car for the wife, ended up getting a 1400 miles used car instead.

I work for an OEM and as you might expect we get a cheap car deal.

Not this year!

They said there's no point, if we ordered a car today we'd get it in 60 weeks. So may as well wait until next year

It’s a big problem for our industry, a long waiting time for new machinery and for parts too. Absolute nightmare.

Looking at getting a Rav4, waiting time at least 54 weeks.

I’ve just a got a new GSA, one of the last ones available until July at least apparently.

Just tried to order some monitors from Dell, lead time 92 days.

Same with vans and some electrical materials. It’s becoming an issue but not a lot we can do about it tbh

Our work cars are up for renewal - the lease is being extended by six months (at least) because of unavailability.
