On the subject of Dunlops, Abel wont even mention their name he hates them that muchSkub wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 12:58 pmThe Dunlops are ok on a warm/sunny day, there are lots of folk saying they are dangerous, etc, but for Summer use they are useable.Supermofo wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 12:24 pm Yeah but I'm a tight arse and doubt the tyres won't grip they just don't feel great so at the moment they'll stay esp as I'm still adjusting after 15k miles/6 years with the 690. Plus got a £200 service on the 6 May first.
On damp or wet roads they are worth the watching. Very skittery and untrustworthy.
I stuck mine for the running in period and up to about 3k before putting on a decent set. It was like a new bike.
Any bike he bought that had them on were swapped out straight away because of the turn in feeling he hated. They dont bother me that much and the Fazer has had Dunlop Sportsmart and Roadsmart on the front as last 2 tyres but the bike doesnt get pushed much as i use it for instructing. Fastest it ever gets is on the way too and from work
Had a Contimotion and now a Pirelli Diablo Strada on the rear with the Dunlop fronts so its fair to say i am not that fussy about the black round things although on the Multistrada i pretty much stick to Pirelli Angel GT2 front and back
