I'm clearly a bit odd, but when I see black and white checks on a motorbike I always think of George Formby.

Yeah, yeah, I know I need help...... :)

Carbon Fibre dustbin fairing - now there's a weird clash of technologies.

Yeah, but you're supposed to tell us about how the weave doesn't match or something.

As I said on the thread with the Beemer of a similar design - "it looks like it's lost it's sidecar".

You can pretty much that as read, look at the state of the tank :D I'd also bet the join down the middle of the fairing looks shit, which is why it's got that massive chequer stripe.

Well you generally associate dustbin fairings with old bikes, they're not permitted in most race series (I know similar stuff is used in Bonneville bikes and things like that). You also generally associated carbon fibre with new high tech stuff. It's just weird seeing the two together.

I like it, but have to ask "Why?"

As a road bike it is pretty impractical, and IIRC dustbin fairings were banned for racing many years ago.

Yeah, I think the full fairing would be current tech if it hadn’t been banned for mainly conservative old fogey reasons.

Pretty much that. I like the final para where it came 3rd in class in a race but neglects to mention how many raced in the class. :D
