It's not exactly a box set but, available on BBC sounds are 5 episodes of The Essay from November 2019 (fans will know why that's relevant )

15 minutes each of 5 people presenting views on different aspects of Blade Runner. (Second best sci-fi film according to a programme on Sky Arts yesterday - they put Close Encounters at no. 1).

Probably only for BR fanbois and some are more interesting than others but, at 15 mins, not exactly a struggle to get through.

Disney have all 19 seasons, not looked if they have LA or New Orleans

I'm 'watching' the Mandalorian again. On series 2 in the episode where Grogu (?? Baby Yoda!) eats the eggs (frog spawn!) they are carrying. Yucky!!! Just seems wrong!!!

And there are arachnid thingies - quite glad I mostly listen not watch for this episode!!!

Bloody loved both series of that, even though him pulling a Stallone Dredd faux pas did detract a smidge

Caught a couple of those on TV and really enjoyed them. With his Italian connections and love of food he carried it off really well. The delve into stuff like the old hooooge abattoir feeding Rome was better than a lot of the standard food travelogues like 'Yet another TV chef does Korea/India/Wherever'.

Someone recommended The Hitmans Bodyguard as a good bit of light entertainment. It sounded like a load of preposterous shit to me. So I watched it and found it was a delightful blend of both. I'd have turned that sort of film off normally but the two main chaps kept it firmly tongue in cheek, almost like they were taking the piss out of the script. I look forward to watching the sequel...

I quite like that.

The sequel, The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard or something has more Salma Hayek. More Salma Hayek is normally a good thing, but not in this case where more Salma Hayek meams more shouty, sweary, obnoxiousness. I turned it off after 15 minutes. It also does that thing where, at the end of the previous film the characters have a grudging respect for each other, maybe even a friendship, but when the followuo is required the writers think "How can we capture the previous film again?" and they just do it by having the characters hate each other again with no explanation.

Daniel Craig is looking his age, I dunno if the over-50s as government spies able to duff up numerous (single-file) baddies and still get out of bed in the morning is very believable. Yes I get that wimmin still fancy him - but then they also seem to fancy that Paul Hollywood bloke as lady-crumpet.
All the villains are boring. Double-Oscar winning villain-of-all-villains Christoph Waltz is wasted with such a dreary part, the Freddie Mercury guy isn't much better.
Ralph Fiennes - wasted as M - must be his biannual retirement topup fund.

It's free on Prime at the moment, so I gave it a watch.

I actually fast forwarded through the last 20-30 mins 'cause it was just boring 'splosions and shit. Just wanted to see what the final conclusion was.
Also, Bond's fate was complete BS and totally without feeling. They're not gonna bin off the franchise, so you know it means nowt.

Excellent tailoring though, as has consistently been the case Fiennes' M must be the best dressed man in film.

All that "You went and retired Bond, we reallocated your 007 number" bollocks did feel slightly as if that were setting it up so that the next 007 could be very different? As in drift further from the original idea of James Bond. So Jane Bond or J-Dog Bond or however they want to play it. I'm not a Bond purist so I couldn't give a monkeys about that being an unspeakable crime ...
