Cycle undershorts

Post by Mr Moofo »

I know we have done this in some shape or form - but I need to buy some new ones.
Endura ones seem odd, I have some Morvelo ones that lack padding for any distance what so ever ( and are very badly made) and some 10 year old Pearl Izumi.
Can someone point me to the original thread - or recommendations , please

Castelli

Bloody expensive but utter perfection.

Have Souke Sports bought on Amazon, work for me.

I think it's these (XL).

Every day of the week. Allow for Italian sizing, XXL works for me around but even then the bib part of the shorts is, well, short when I'm stood up but perfect on the bike.

DHB work well for me as well and has the advantage of being cheaper and very often in the discount section of Wiggle. (And others around me love Haribo).

But given the choice, I will grab a Castelli pair every ride (and generally do!).

I've never tried Gel - I've never needed to, regardless of mileage.

Another vote for castelli stuff. Spent £70 on shorts but they still haven’t worn out five years later- genuinely still comfy.

There's not an issue - just the usual Italian thing of everything being at least a size or two smaller than the label suggests. I'm a very comfortable XL in Endura and DHB (can go down to L in both when I'm properly fit) but very definitely an XXL in Castelli and - as I said - even then the bib straps are clearly designed for being in the riding position, not stood up!!

The pad is wonderful though and in use the clothing is just so well fitted that there's no flapping, movement or seams in the wrong place etc.
