Re: May 7th Ebike Ride Peak District
So what's the plan? Where we meeting and when etc? Is there a back up plan for when the little batteries give up?

Re: May 7th Ebike Ride Peak District
Hopefully all those coming along are aware that the little battery issue has been addressed?
I'd suggest we meet at The Bike Garage at Bamford for 09:00 ready to pick up the hire bike at 09:30 and so loan bikes can be set up.

We'll do the classic Ladybower loop, with a stop at the visitor centre at Fairholmes for a breakfast cob and another stop at the Yorkshire Bridge inn for lunch type refreshment.

I’d stretch the meet to 9.30-10 for those driving 3 hours. I’ll meet you about 9 though to sort bikes out

Are you aware we live 3 hours away and it doesn't go dark at 2pm?millemille wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 8:00 pmHopefully all those coming along are aware that the little battery issue has been addressed?

Lol not if you leave 120psi in the forks.
Can I have 85 in forks, 180 in shock.
23/23 in tyres assuming tubeless
Please

No problem, any preference in weather and I’ll see what I can do….hang on though they aren’t tubeless so bring a spare tube just in case and I’ll put 30psi in them

Be thankful I'm leaving the child at home, I can't cope with the humiliation

Nope standard wheels have tubes in them as the tyres aren’t tubeless and I’m not buying you tyres, you’ll be fine

Re: May 7th Ebike Ride Peak District
well the time is almost here... i'm looking forward to seeing the lads more than i am the riding, but i'm sure the riding will be fun.
I'm more concerned that it'll end up costing me £300 as the boys seem to destroy bikes every time they leave the house to got to the Peak.
It'll be interesting to see how @crust gets on as he's deffo a bit ebike curious... but i'm baffled as to why.... out riding with him yesterday over a 3hr mtb ride we averaged 16.7kph, without actually trying to average a speed, so stopping, cruising, chatting etc... But still a decent speed for a 45km distance with 95% of it on trails. I don't see much of a need for an ebike in his world... but it's something he seems to be curious about.

Re: May 7th Ebike Ride Peak District
Normal bikes average half that in the peaks tbh......but agree if he's averaging that on a ride he doesn't really need one for that type of rideweeksy wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 7:58 am well the time is almost here... i'm looking forward to seeing the lads more than i am the riding, but i'm sure the riding will be fun.

Re: May 7th Ebike Ride Peak District
They keep closing lanes in this part of the world and there's some epic routes I used to do when this were all fields.
As E-bikes get better and the range extends I reckon I could keep up the TRF boys on their rideouts.
Just curious at the moment.

This is a rough sketch of the route, there's a few options to lengthen/shorten/adjust etc as we feel the need

Maybe not for you. But if the battery dies, I'll see you later.
