I'm sat on my 'sofa' with a gurt mug of tea to hand (and a full kettle nearby)!! Bacon sarnies for lunch and quite excited that I can watch MotoGP as it happens!!! (Pretty sure I watched the last one on catch up cos friends asked me to go for a lemonade!! LOL)

One of the biggest things I love about bike racing is (usually!) the camaraderie and care. Ok, sometimes they look like they want to throw punches.

No idea if anyome still gets miffed if they look in here, so I'll hide the main comment!!

But today, Millar took out Mir. Not deliberate I know, but to see Mir walking up to Millar to (I guess) make sure he was ok was heart warming. It sucks to go down so close to hte finish, but to be taken out at that point must seriously suck. To see the guy making sure the other was ok is something you don't see in many sports. Awesome. (I did think for a moment htat Millar was under both bikes, but think he was pushed along by them - I think!!!)

And I'm pretty damn happy at the result

All the excuses being rolled out for Miller being a twat - again - and taking out Mir this time, instead of just trying to like he usually does.

Fantastic race again - Fab was fab, the dicing amongst the rest was excellent.

Shame about the big crash in Moto2 and the Moto3 race was, as ever, brilliant.

Practice & qualifying were wet & cold but race day was fine.

The food was good & too much beer & wine was drunk. Pretty much a success then

It was a great trip, we came back on the Red eye from Faro to Bristol this morning.

One of the lads booked us an Air b'nb place in Alvor, we were a party of six; Me Ian and the other Wiltshire guys (some of who you met at Pembrey) it was a proper luxury place for the equivalent of £25 peer night each. We also booked a minibus which was pretty cheap spread between six of us so not an expensive trip.
Portimao circuit is spectacular. as with all of them, the TV flattens the terrain a lot, the elevation changes here were huge.
We got stand tickets just between turn 1 and 2 for the 3 days. usually we walk the circuit and only really use the seats for Qualifying and race day but at Portimao you are restricted to the area where your stand is, they put in gates and don't allow you to walk around the perimeter path which is really shit when you have a 4.5km track like that.

While I'm having a moan, when you are penned into your area, there is only one food concession and you are not allowed to take food into the circuit. The guys on the gate were confiscating everything and just throwing it in the bin. Not great if you are a diabetic who needs to take some biscuits in (not that I am, but...).
The beer in the circuit was all alcohol free - no bad thing for us as we had more than enough after we left the circuit

I would go for a track day but wouldn't got back for MotoGP / WSBK unless the circuit can get its shit together and treat the attendees as guests.
I'd happily take Mrs B to that part of the Algarve for a few days though.

I would happily go there on a track day but wouldn't go back as a spectator for the reasons GP mentioned.

OK, some were trashed, but they put out the 5 minute rule signal.

Gutted for Jake but happy for Joe Roberts. A nice bloke.
