Ah. So 'tis.
Is the spoke lacing a bit odd or haven't I been paying attention to spoke arrangements?

The swappable battery / remove to recharge concept will only be practical for smaller machines and range. Go much bigger and you'll need a hoist or forklift to shift them.

Yup, that's what I had in mind as 'bridging the gap'.

There's quite a few of these Cushmans around - even military ones. Unfortunately not many that I can hotlink to. Some of the restomods are
I'd never heard of Cushman but they started making 'trucksters' and scooters to increase use of their industrial/agricultural 'Husky' engine
Kept going in one way or another until 2002.

40 miles range claimed. Top speed 45mph. Removable battery.
£5k
Seems to bridge the gap from e-bike to the £bigger e-motorcycles.
It's pretty retro but would make a good city/holiday hire bike.

Battery box is quite slim so, depending on controller gubbins, it could probably be reformatted as a step-thru frame, or even to give luggage storage space.

Here's another Cushman, with its frock off. Just look at the size of the rear sprocket!

Depends where 'there' is.
And there's probably a good reason why a Bantam would be cheap (pun also intended).

1954 Honda Juno K-Type...
Now that's a screen!
EDIT:
It apparently was the first bike to have an electric start, indicators and plastic bodywork!
The bit at the top of the screen is a sun shade!

How about a Honda flat twin! (The predecessor to the Juno if I understand correctly). Can't lift the images off this French chat site - 'Flatistan motards' - for some reason but there's a few interesting pics in the thread. @Noggin can translate.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 6:14 pm 1954 Honda Juno K-Type...

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
A very rare French-built Majestic motorcycle.
The Majestic is the physical embodiment of the Art Deco aesthetic, a streamlined torpedo which suggests Speed and Modernity.” The real innovation is at the front—this is one of the first motorcycles to feature hub-centered steering (as beloved by Bimota of late). And yes, the front also has sliding pillar suspension, similar to that on a Lancia Lambda or early Morgan.. French racing Red paintwork. For that, we could forgive just about anything. Over a period of five years roughly 100 machines were produces with 350cc & 500c single-cylinder engines from Chaise, JAP V-twins, and four-cylinder engines from both Chaise and Cleveland. Production ceased in 1933.
The maximum speed of the motorcycle equipped with a 3-speed gearbox was 90 km / h; Was braked with drum brakes. Fully restored by Heroes Motors Los Angeles

They're calling it an NC431V.
Google suggests it's just a NC30 with an NSR400 engine.
