The fuel tank's a bit on the small side at only 12 litres.
As a comparison the GSX-1000R has a fuel capacity of 16 litres.
If ridden with any enthusiasm you'd be looking for petrol stations rather often I'd have thought.
But what do I know?

Re: 1000 Katana
50 miles is a three hour ride on my Enfield.... I think a tank full lasts almost 200 miles cos it does 90mpg!
Who needs more than 27bhp anyway?

Re: 1000 Katana
I seem to recall MCN getting OK mileages out of the tank on their Kat but yes 12 litres is small. My GSXS has 17 and I always get over 150 miles so far.
...Just found it. MCN were getting around 120 to a tank. I'd prefer more than that, but depends how you ride I guess.

Re: 1000 Katana
So I've had a think about why I was considering buying it, and came up with the following
Why do I want it - it's a Suzuki Katana and they were cool as cucumbers in 1985
Why don't I want it - it's ugly and I don't want a 150bhp bike
So I think I'll be sticking with my 750, if Suzuki called my 750 a Katana I'd be as happy as a pig in shit.
