A trip down memory lane. I wonder what happened to our old resident FF enthusiast?

I imagine he's involved in at least one of those shots in the Youtube video.
It's an interesting point in the article about, if we want bikes to go faster, further on less energy (particularly relevant for battery power) they will have to become lower/more aerodynamic ie like 2 wheeled cars.
Wonder when we'll see e-bike track races? It's got to be better to watch than the Formula-e snoozefest with all that Pacman power-up/swap car to get a fresh battery nonsense.

IIRC his Voyager was 03 from the [short] production run. He wasn't the original owner, so even if the bike featured in the old videos, it wouldn't have been Thermo riding.

Addendum. Just remembered: 03's previous owner was Keith Duckworth, of Cosworth fame

It's funny/sad that it has only taken 50-odd years, the potential destruction of the planet from global warming, a couple of oil shocks etc to prove that the afficionados were 'right all along' - what the world really needed was little 2-wheel cars.Horse wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 9:49 am IIRC his Voyager was 03 from the [short] production run. No, not me.
I met Thermo once at one of the Somerset events at Castle Combe and had a sit in the Voyager. Other than that, the only 'FF' I've ridden is the BMW C1.

Which one? If it's the Top Gear group riding at Wroughton airfield or the promo news item of the Voyager launch, then he's in neither.
Thermo didn't get his Voyager until about 2005.

Ish, it still looks like the No1 header has to come off to remove the oil filter.
