Its my Mums birthday today and we're seeing her tomorrow. I'm currently helping the 4 year old baby D make a birthday card with various sticking, stamping and colouring activities.

Cos I'm expecting to be in rehab soon, I'm sorting out all my embroidery threads to see what I have to match various cross stitch patterns I have

Anchor threads seems to have gone out of fashion in favour of DMC threads which is a smidge annoying, but the most annoying thing is that I have a pattern I started (about 20 years ago!!) so at some point I must have had all the threads for that project (I didn't ever start a project without all the threads to hand!)

I think I have 'lost' a box of threads somewhere as, although I have one and a half boxes of Anchor threads and a handful of DMC threads, I have NONE of the ones for the project :( :( Bit peeved to be fair. Cos it basically means that it will be more economical to wait till I can buy all the threads in DMC and restart the project. Actually more like very peeved!! Got no idea where/why I've 'lost' a box of threads and still have the project

Oh well. I've got a few other projects I can do, so all is not lost

Aha. Last night I was searching for qualifying times. Kept getting car times. Looked again and they were the Le Mans 'Series ' somewhere else. The beer interfered ;)

Was meant to clear some ground in the garden and make a raised bed but the Celtic Rangers match is on in just over an hour.

Yamaha qualified on pole, but the bike wouldn't start so they got away last, Bradley Smith also on a Yamaha also had trouble starting and got hit by a Super Stock bike at the start, he's okay but in hospital.

Back from celebrating Easter at a packed Church with over 150 people. Have a blessed Easter everyone.

Watching the wife clearing up the mess of having 11 people here for dinner yesterday. Yup, that garden furniture was a great purchase!

Sitting in the garden listening to the seemingly hundreds of motorbikes heading to the Southend Shakedown. I'm guessing its going to be a good turnout!

Chopping back the horrible ivy on the front of the house. Can't wait to move so we can leave the horrid stuff behind for someone else.

It's supposed to be v beneficial - insulation, good for birds + bugs etc. Shame it eats mortar and looks :( when you strip it off. :hmmm:

Cleaning my car so I can sell it. Should do it more often as stuff is growing on it. Baffles me as to why people do this for fun (or indeed at all). Need an mot too as I've just found out it ran out Christmas eve. Haven't driven it since then which is why I'm selling it.

I did polish siobhan’s as I scratched it a while ago when I drove it in to my daughters car. Happy with that as it’s my first effort with a da polisher. Won’t be making a habit of it though as it’sa deathly boring way to spend an afternoon.
