As a child of South-east Hampshire (nearly Sussex!) and now an Oxfordshire commuter I reckon I'd have to give the title to the A34 :D
A27 for the win, the Eastbourne to Lewes stretch is a roadworks hell at the moment, the best bit is that it's for a cycle lane that the cars won't ever use and I suspect me and about 4 other cyclists will use on a regular commuting basis. It has to be at least £10 million for about 5 cyclists.........
They're farting about with the Chichester area of the A27 as well at the moment.

A34's claims to fame (on the Berks/Oxon stretch) are ridiculously short slip roads. Beware the 'Ilsleys' junction northbound in particular. Usually a crash every few days.
They’ve done the same locally. They’ve made the on-slips on to a busy DC a staggered dual approach separated by solid whites. All very well, and I can see the reasoning, but the actual entry area is ridiculously short. The road planning department here seem to spend most of their time solving problems that don’t exist while ignoring the ones that do.

We had a pergola built over the pool patio a while ago.
It's lovely to sit outside when the monsoon rains come a few times a year.
I went out the back to lock the garage. Dopey dog followed me and got locked out.
I'd no idea until I heard him barking 15 mins later :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Busy night at work tonight, power off after a car turned left onto the railway track following his Sat nav and just as that was being sorted out power off in a hurry elsewhere for suicidal person running around on the track!

Had an awful nights sleep, I dreamed I was being recalled to the army for a conflict, it was very real as I went through the medical, met up with old mates, drew all my kit, sat in the mess talking about what we'd been up to, etc.
Must be something in the air. Struggled to sleep for a few days due to illness so when I managed to go off tonite I got woken up by a weird dream that I was trying to get a massive bulldozer across the Ukraine without the Ruskys spotting it and shelling/air strike/missiles hitting us. I have no connection at all to bulldozers, the Ukraine or Russia!!
Strange.

I'm sitting here grinning. Ok, it's still snowing, so I'll stick with my one trip out today, but some friends (ex seasonnaires) just messaged to ask if I was in resort. They are going to pop round for coffee, and bring cake :D :D

I have got the genepi out cos he said "apres at yours today, coffee and cake - damn we got old" :o !!!! I replied saying I refuse to be old and I will have genepi to have with the coffee!! :D :D :D

Overwhelmed with plants and seeds. Petunias, Geraniums, Chamomile, Clematis, Bougainvillea and goodness knows what else! I’m looking forward to checking out the viability of some seeds I’ve had for many years. In between I’m experimenting with colouring concrete paving.

I’d best get on with it...

Crossing fingers big style!! Finally my GP got through to the rehab centre I want to go to - they hadn't received his online request for them to take me next week. So he emailed them (although there is zero punctuation and no paragraphs!!!) so am crossing everything that they have a place and I can go next week :)

Well that failed. I so should have got pushy earlier!! The woman that told him to email is the one that deals with admissions for my sort of rehab - she probably finished for the day by the time he emailed and has been on holiday since - back on Wednesday   Can't see me getting a place next week, but never mind. Hopefully the week after :shifty:

Sitting by the window watching (well, keeping an eye on) Mont Blanc as the clouds clear - gorgeous

What I'm really watching is my favourite cooking show (well, really my favourite chef  ) whilst waiting for the HCB dough to prove!! Should have done it yesterday so I could prove it overnight and just bake this morning. But I went to a bar :1 :1

My daughter phoned me from work this morning with the news her school friend's mother and local lady had been stabbed to death in her own house, apparently by an ex partner who was arrested at the scene.

It's very quiet here,so the utter shock is palpable.

Looking at taking the dogs for a walk but after 5 pints of cider last night I'm not feeling too enthused.
