Nicely done. The brake disc is the most jarring aspect, but it's also by far the most important upgrade, the OE brakes were shocking!
I don't like the colour tho', should be a candy red or a metallic orange.

Nice to see a set of pics from IRL rather than a studio with moody lighting.
The bike is OK.

When you post these images I tend to think of two points.
1) Does it look an improvement on the original bike?
2) What would I change?
This one looks improved over the original,& the colour scheme is the only thing I would change
I like that.

Lovely clean looking bike. IRL I'd stop and have a gander at that for sure!

I had one in 1976 and despite admiring the craftsmanship,I prefer the look of the stock bike.

The two I had were crap, I had them each for a day and then asked the shop for my 250LC back.Yorick wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 2:30 pmI had the E model. Was shit. With the exception of the cowhorns, I agree.

I like that, even the colour is ok. RD350s are hooligan bikes though, they should not have monocles and moustaches.
I had a YR5 with RD350 forks and brakes. The opposed piston caliper was unusual for Jap bikes at the time, and it was loads better than the brakes on a 400/4 or an RD400. The lag in the wet was still horrendous though.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 8:25 am Nicely done. Thats one of the only bikes on these threads that looks like it would be an improvement over the standard bike.
Not entirely sure I actually want it cos its still a geriatric aircooled RD even after that improvement but at least the owner didn't spunk a fortune on knackering it like most of em.

Hi all,
I'm the owner. I'm curious how you guys are discussing my modest build. I'll take it as a complement.
If you want to know how and why I build this please look in to:

Welcome, kipjee.
I'm pleased to tell you that you got away lightly compared with the 'critiques' some bikes receive.
Take it as a big compliment!

The absence of brown seat and grips, and bar end mirrors, undoubtedly helped

I like it. Not my favourite colour but I'll forgive that as the monocle and moustache on the headlight made me smile.
