If I’m off I’m happy to give a guided tour but failing that look at Friston MTB online and Friston Forest trail maps

Was ready way too early today so decided I'd cycle to Newbury for our ride.

We then did 2.5 hours or trails with the highest point up near highclere castle.

I was tempted to get a lift home, but it's only 8.5 miles so I cracked on to finish the ride.

Cake, coffee and bacon.

Was that the new Michelin? Or did that replace this one?

Got a hole in my rear at a guess by flint at Bury Hill (Houghton Forest) yesterday. Put more sealant in this morning and managed to ride today but there was sealant everywhere, what a mess. Bye bye tyre.

@lostboy no it was a The Specialized FastTrack (with the armour belts). Michelin doing OK so far, it’s lacking a bit of edge grip but rolls well, durability, we’ll see.

Armour belts were effective then.........

I've not tried Michelin MTB tyres, they've not really been on my radar so your feedback is interesting.

@lostboy , I ran Michelin Enduros on my Speccy Enduro, a truly bullet proof grippy set of tyres, The Downs, Dartmoor, Wales, they took everything I threw at them, no punctures. Eventually died of rounding off the tread blocks and loss of grip. My only complaint is they are very slow rolling, especially the rear for some reason.

Michelin Wild Muds with the Enduro casing are my go to winter tyre, pressures as low as 18 psi and oodles of mud grip, fantastic mud shedding and again nigh on indestructible (heavy but its winter so times are not relevant).

If I was running an E-Bike where weight and rolling aren't such a problem it'd probably be Michelins with the Enduro casing.

This morning, the calm before the storm, after BPW dust yesterday the bikes are cleaned and ready to go again. Race day on Sat... although arguably neither of these bikes will be playing... The GT is awaiting cleaning and checking when the boy gets out of bed.

And to top it off, despite being on nights at the moment and riding like I was in a stop motion animation I put in a cracking time on my favourite trail to jump to 6th on the leader board and fastest old git (45-54). Happy days

Intrigued. How's that work? Does it give the same changes in elevation as the actual Surrey Hills overlaid on Sarf Lunnon?

Cracking 45km ride with Crust today. Pace was high, I picked fast flowing sweepy trails for us and they didn't disappoint at all! Awesome.

@crust is in charge of pics though as I didn't take any.

Beer, cake, sausage rolls! Fab!
