I'd never buy a bike based just upon its studio glamour shots, even less so johnny-startup with an ev bike.
But yeah on paper fabulous.

Trouble with any of these new companies is, they haven't really been up against the big 4 yet. As much as I fancy a Zero I won't buy one until I see what comes out of the land of the rising sun!

I'm still on the fence about Teslas long term prospects once all the other OEMs get fully into EVs. Teslas aren't actually that nice as cars when you're in them, but they've obviously properly shook up the car world.
I'm clearly not THAT on the fence cause I have Tesla shares
The difference with them though is that they came out all guns blazing before it was really obvious EVs would be a thing.

I have no idea what it's like to drive a Tesla, but I have seen how quick they can be (albeit at the cost of mileage range). But their styling, to my eyes, hasn't aged well. It looked cool intially, but now looks slabby, dull and (dare I say it) a bit boring. My view only, of course.

All the Teslas seem to look gash these days.
I reckon that electric Hyundai looks way better. The Ionic or whatever it's called.

Their speed is their main attraction, Musk actively encouraged notoreity with "Insane Mode" and "Ludicrous Mode" knowing the big manufacturers would never dare to try something like that these days.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:16 pm I have no idea what it's like to drive a Tesla, but I have seen how quick they can be (albeit at the cost of mileage range). The cars are pretty "meh" and the build quality is iffy, bloke on twitter rejected his new one because it came from the factory with 2 sports tyres and 2 winter tyres. On a $135k car with the guts of 1000bhp.

Re: Anyone Reserved This Yet
Teslas always look like they've bought an old model production line from another manufacturer. One of them looks like a 5 year old Jag model. Some of the reports of niggling issues sound like a rather older one. Unless they sort the quality (and styling) issues, that prime mover advantage will disappear quite quickly.
They will always sell some based on the Musk connection - many fanboi out there.
I'd have one as a company car but wouldn't spend my own £ on one. Ditto these start-up bike makers - can't see many of them surviving as anything other than niche once the big boys gear up.
