Wife's bike just gone!

The moped went on Saturday.

The garage is looking a bit empty with only three bikes in it :(

Picked up my friend from his house and took him by pillion to Bow to get his unreliable KTM 990 adventure going - battery probs.
He’s not particularly svelte (not at all) and it’s the first time I’ve had a pillion in a while ( the previous was mrs smethurst and she’s tiny.)

Rode to work today, but it feels like I've been sparring with Tyson Fury for 40 rounds! Traffic was a nightmare as the E2 bridge is shut due to high winds. The high winds were very strong, gusting, sidewinds and some of the worse I'd ever ridden through in 30 years of commuting into London! Was really bashing me about and to top it all the peak of my MX helmet was catching the gusting winds and nearly ripping my head off! I'm literally knackered! :wtf: :D

Trying to book some restaurant lunches for my trip to Burgundy and Sarlat. Fairly grim post-COVID - so far a lot of the places I've tried have been killed -out-of-business as a result of COVID or are currently closed with staff having the COVID

I've mostly made the bed!! The bed is at about 1.50m high (so I could use the space under it!) - ideal for storage but a bit shit when on crutches!! LOL

A friend came round to bring the wheelie stool from the garage and so I got him to do the duvet cover!!

So, if I'm feeling brave tonight, I might actually sleep in my bed tonight!! First time in 6 weeks!!! LOL

Today I'm wondering why I bother to take holiday, as I have to work my nuts off for days playing catch up when I come back.

Gave the man cave a reet good clean. My pal did some work for us last week and left the garage like a bomb site. And I've imported loads of stuff from the store cupboard to make the pub.
Swept it all and even mopped the floor. Got to keep the bikes happy :)

You have no idea what a bombsite looks like - I'd post a pic of mine but I'd worry for Weeksy's health :?

Way further than I can be bothered to go for a weekend (even the longer Easter weekend) away but it's on the list next time I have longer.

LOL I haven't been able to get on the bed for 6 weeks!! Its 5 foot up and I usually use a narrow step ladder to get there. Haven't risked it with crutches and dodgy leg

But yesterday I did. Slept in a bed for the first time since leaving hospital :bblonde: :bblonde:

Did a clear out of my wardrobe and drawers.

I’ve been buying a lot of new sweatshirts and T-shirts courtesy of Costco and did a much needed gut of some of my older/no longer fitting stuff.

A full bin bag of clothes and I really could have been even more ruthless. I don’t think I’ve been more dressed up than T-shirt, sweatshirt and jeans in 2 years.

If it hadn't been for the need to take Baby D to Nursery/School I'd have spent much of the last 2 years in PJs :D

Tried to persuade the wife to let me sell the Enfield and buy a T140 instead.

She's worried the T140 will be too fast in comparison :)

If I got a 1978 one it would fill the requirements for a bike from my year of birth.
