Rea under race lap record pace
The six-time World Champion topped the times by just 0.016s ahead of nearest rival Toprak Razgatlioglu on the opening day of testing at MotorLand Aragon

The six-time World Champion left it late to go top on Day 1 in the combined classification, beating his nearest rival by just 0.016s.

Re: Rea under race lap record pace
Top two well clear there - food for thought for Bautista for sure.
I hope Scott is just taking his time to get the BMW the way he wants it. 13th and behind Baz and Laverty is not where I would 've expected him to be.

Re: Rea under race lap record pace
I just can't see Redding doing it... not against the big 3... and certainly not on the BMW. When he was on the Ducati he had his chance... he's now Tom Skyes, Eugene Laverty and the other Journeymen waiting for a retirement trip back to BSB.
For BMW to be a title contender would be a remarkable change of fortunes for them and indeed a change of design/bike/everything.

Re: Rea under race lap record pace
Scotty not looking happy on the Beemer. Third fastest bmw isn't where he needs to be. Bautista blowing by so easily on the straight will be salt in the wound.

Re: Rea under race lap record pace
I forgot the races were this weekend.
Gonna be even busier
But, Scotty is only 16th fastest. I lost interest in WSB until he came back to make it interesting.
Just hope Toprak and Bautista stop the miserable Irish twat winning.

Not as bad as the stand in rider for Micky VDM making Redding look like the stand in.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 11:11 am Blimey. Eugene Laverty 1.7 seconds slower than his team mate Loris Baz. Not a good look.

Re: Rea under race lap record pace
Toprak struggling with the front end after 10 laps or so, cracking race.
If Redding was the lead BMW then fair enough but they’re all pretty much ahead of him. Think I’ll give mine back to BMW

Re: Rea under race lap record pace
Agreed - Redding is having a shocker. And his 'old' bike looks a bit of a missile. I suspect he's ruing his decision to switch teams.Skub wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 2:29 pmNot as bad as the stand in rider for Micky VDM making Redding look like the stand in.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 11:11 am Blimey. Re: Rea under race lap record pace
It's traditionally a bad track for Yamaha,so at least a podium is an improvement.
The Ducati with Bautista on board is a missile.
The Kawasaki turns a heap better now.
Where were the rest?

Just caught up- yup, top racing that, at the shap end anyway and really do have to hand it to Jonny, he very much still has it
Dead pleased for Lecuona and Xavi Vierge too- , it's very early days of course, but potentially bodes very well for Honda and the series
