I'd jump at the chance of buying back my xt 250 & 2x Morini 500s at the prices I sold them for, but for the prices they command now, naaa

My two eightie's bikes 1985 FZ750 &1986 XT600 are currently non running projects for when I retire.I should have took early retirement last month but got talked into doing another year.I've promised myself that I won't get anything else until they're rebuilt & running.
I always fancied a Moto Morini 3 i/2 or 500,but they seem to be going for daft money these days

CBR600
A mate of mine bought one in 1988 and it was way better than any other bike I had ridden. They were quick, handled well, braked well, were comfortable, reliable and cheap to run. I've had two of them and used them for commuting, sunny Sunday blasts, two-up touring, pretty much everything except off roading. They were the best selling bike in the UK for years and pretty much established the 600 sportsbike as the dominant roadbike in the 1990s

There's a nice 650 on t'Bay too. I'd be half tempted but they're quite fragile things IIRC.

They're alright with mandlebars, and handle well for a big early 80s bike, frame is pretty much the same as a 1978 GS1000Skub wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 8:16 pmA mate bought one of those brand new, sold all the Katana bits and put the rest in a Harris frame. The Spin Doctor wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 1:08 pm Has to be... Give me a shout if you need any FZ bits, or just want to try bits off a running bike - feck knows what I'm going to do with my one or the 911 engine I've got for it.Bustaspoke wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 4:52 pm My two eightie's bikes 1985 FZ750 &1986 XT600 are currently non running projects for when I retire.I should have took early retirement last month but got talked into doing another year.I've promised myself that I won't get anything else until they're rebuilt & running.
