I watched Spencer the other night. Hasten to say it wasn't my choice.
It was absolutely awful - Kirsten Stewart should know better. Dreadful acting, dreadful story an in case you didn't know, Diana was a victim or a royal conspiracy ( but she came over as a completely self absorbed egotist).
And she was nominated for an Oscar - is that how low the oscars have sunk?

Havin failed to get to the remote first I am half watching the biggest steaming pile of a film I've seen in years. Take a bow 'Left Behind' and Nicolas Cage, your score of 0 on Rotten Tomatoes was over generous.

Through which medium / service are we watching Picard?MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 9:12 pmI'm enjoying itCount Steer wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 8:31 pmNow we're a few episodes in, what's the general opinion?MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 8:12 pm Picard series 2 has started
Mmmmmmmmm 7 of 9 has aged very well
I'm a bit ambivalent even though it has 'borginess' - Picard seems to be declaiming from a Shakespeare script, the Borg queen appears to have developed a wry sense of humour, which is a bit and the timey wimey stuff has a few paradox bending problems.
S'ok but slightly disappointing.
Also gutted the most recent series of Discovery isn't on Netflix, was really enjoying that.

Pandorum on Prime.
An Alien, Zombie Apocalypse (even has Norman Reedus in it ), Event Horizon type mashup.
Bearing all that in mind, it's all right.

Watched 'The Peanut Butter Falcon' on amazon last night, bloody brilliant.
Shae Labouef stars as a down on his luck redneck who bumps into a aspiring wrestler with Downs Syndrome who has just escaped a mental health institution and a road trip ensues.

Finished The Split on iPlayer. More holes than swiss cheese and, for me, a disappointing ending, but an open one for series 4? I did enjoy it though and my wife loved it. She actually sat up late and watched series 3 all the way through! Considering she is someone who'll be right into a gripping film and will then aay it's late, i'll finish it tomorrow, and goto bed, that must say something for it!

Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
Just watched Bone Tomahawk. Man that was gruesome at times! Not what I was expecting from a Western, but bloody bits aside, it was okay, if a little cliched in the dialogue...

Throttle Out
It's kind of like Top Gear for bikes. I'm watching it on Discovery+, but I think it's on Prime too.
I watched that first episode and now I NEED a monkey bike.

Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
I'm on the 3rd episode now. They've put a Banshee (350LC) engine in an R3 and are trying to race it against all the other Junior Super Sport bikes... it's a fuck ton faster, but first the gear change fell off, then it violently ejected a spark plug

Started to watch Suicide Squad. I stuck with it for as long as I could, but just could not get into it.
