May 7th Ebike Ride Peak District

Day in the peaks on the 7th May, meeting 9am-10am ish.

Route to be decided but 15-25 miles and 3-4000 ft of climbing around Ladybower Dam/ Edale etc..

For those without an ebike they can be hired here with a bit of notice, I'm sure one of us more local could pick one up if needed.

I don't see why there's an obsession to climb a gazillion feet? If I brought the Liv it's not exactly an epic climber.

The high peak is quite up and downy, it's kind of difficult to not do a fair bit of climbing. And with ebikes you generally know your range in terms of distance AND feet of climbing you can do....

Not all ebikes are created equally though. Certainly vin the case of the thing I'd likely be on.

Tbh that’s a normal ride in the peaks on an ebike, kind of comes with the territory. If you did a normal bike ride of 10 miles you’d do 1-1500 ft of climbing. The Liv will be fine as most climbs aren’t super steep for long stretches and having ridden it the front stays on the ground so it’ll prob be better than mine which wheelies lots

The liv was good enough for 21 miles and 2500 ft last time in sloppy cold conditions. We’ll make the route similar
