I've heard that some types of battery must not be run down under 80%
I've seen plenty of mobile phone users who are happy to run their battery until the phone dies !
I was told to keep my Macbook Battery as topped up as possible, but "once in a while" I should run it completely flat !
So what's the craic?
I guess different types of battery need to be treated differently !?
Does anyone have a guide?
I'm trying to ensure I get the best battery life out of my vaporizer as the battery isn't replaceable and a new vape is £170!
Batteries, which ones to run flat !

Li-Ion you're supposed to keep between 20 - 80 percent for best battery health.
I never do though, my vape batteries get run down to 10% and charged to 100% and I usually get 2 years out of them before I notice them dropping off, I try not to let my phones drop so low but always fully charge them without any bother so far, but then I only keep phones for 3 - 4 years.

I started to use the wireless chargers so when at home the phone sits on it as soon as i sit down so does not really get a chance to get under 75/80%. I also have one in my vans but i do make a point of letting it discharge every three month or so as i read a few years back that its good for the battery.

They would say that wouldn't they?
They managed to fit the battery when they made it and I'll bet there are people out there that can replace it. If and when it does go I'd have a chat with one of those handy chaps in one of those independent places that fix mobile phones. Nothing to lose and I'll bet the batteries aren't particularly exotic. (Some deft soldering may be involved though).
