Exactly why I love this colour scheme. When I’m having fun nobody will know what bike it is, all black bikes look the same.

A mate of mine always buys a red bike,primarily because his missus knows he has a red bike. He changes it every couple of years and she never notices.

Took what I needed off for fitting the radiator and oil cooler guards. Thought it would be rude not to take some pics of her.

Those electrical connectors down beside the oil filter etc look quite vulnerable. I'd have them filled with MS4 pretty sharpish. May be called DC4 now. It's a Dow Corning product. We used to use it to weatherproof weapons systems.

Had to do a Halfords run so took the bike, just over 50 miles on the clock now. Can’t wait for it to be run in.

I’m not sure, the manual states to vary the speed and keep it <7k revs for 180 miles and then <9k until 600miles is reached.

I set the shift light to 7k and seen 8k a few times so I can’t comment whether it’s limited or not. The redline goes up as normal when the engine temp rises, so on first start up it’s around the 6k mark then goes to 13.5 or so once at operating temperature.

Not quite the same power but my GS doesn’t seem to be limited (400 miles so far)

Forgot to say, the standard tyre pressures are a bit of a joke, in fact the rear was a bit higher than the standard pressures, standard for who? Not sure why manufacturers continue to swear by these bullshit pressures.

I reduced the pressures down which means I had to switch the tyre pressure warning off, on the dash in the “my vehicle” it states what the pressures should be, what they are and what the difference is.

Quite handy to see the pressures increase when pushing on or with varying conditions, hotter days etc.

A few things I need to do, adjust brake and clutch lever height, they have set them way too high. I also need to adjust the gear lever as it’s too high, another common mistake I see.

They were set @ 37f and 47r stock rear is meant to be 42 I think so it was even way higher than that.

I usually run 32f 30r cold pressure on the road, I’ve set it to that and will adjust accordingly after I’ve had more time on the bike.

Wow. 47 seems high.

I seem to hate a front tyre much less than 36. Does 30 rear not feel like a soft tyre on the road?
