Re: Watt the fuck?
Jason Kenny clocked over 2000W briefly on the Rio 2016 bike! They manage to twist the frame so much the rear tyres rub the paint off the inside of the seat stays.
Not for 187km mind.

Re: Watt the fuck?
It's the 308w ave, combined with a 145bpm heart rate for that period that's ridiculous.
I remember Cav being asked how a good club pro would go in a TDF stage and he said "fine, until the end of the neutralised zone..." These numbers are just other worldly.
As I said, elite sportspeople

Re: Watt the fuck?
I wonder what an ebike plus unfit 50+ year old rider puts out. If I put on a HR monitor would strava show the results accurately ?

Nah, it won't be able to work out the ebike side of things I expect.
Lol at unfit. At least you never put novice in there too

Re: Watt the fuck?
I'm rubbish at KM and m of climbing and have just converted them - basically he's ridden twice round the Isle of Wight (although only "climbed" it once) in just over four hours. That's mental.

Re: Watt the fuck?
A lot of the big gravel races are up around 300w for 5-7 hours. Brennnan Werz has a 500w ftp so 300w is low Z2.
Adam Roberge did 500w for 5 minutes to chase back on at Mid South the other day!

Re: Watt the fuck?
I'd never heard of them so I checked on procyclingstats on Adam Roberge, MVdP isn't scared.
I don't know what his FTP is though I must admit.

Re: Watt the fuck?
Well quite. All the gravel boys have 380-500w ftps depending on weight. And they’re nobody v world tour riders.
In Phil Gaimon’s book, he talks about his ‘tour de Phil’ that Vaughters had him do. 3 weeks (with two rest days) of 300w all day long!!!

Re: Watt the fuck?
Did I miss novice ?
If I record the ride as a normal ride it’ll just match my effort to the speed and HR and record total watts ? I’ll try it and see, but with 360% assist if I put in 200w it’ll be a high figure. I’ve no idea what I could put in though.
At local trail centre the fastest of us on ebikes are quicker than the fastest non ebike national type riders, guess I’ll do some measuring

These numbers are Frickin incredible and makes my lunchtime zwift session look pretty pathetic.
I'll just have to console myself in the thought that he could do my job about as good as I could do his.
